Caption: A two-story bunker on the heavily fortified perimeter of the Cu Chi base camp. Barnett, Slagle, and I performed numerous shifts of guard duty in bunkers like this one while recuperating from wounds, with two of us on crutches. The camp was unknowingly built over an enemy tunnel complex.
